Software base timer beware!!!

some of software based timer can be killed... some instances when the user attemptto shutdown the computer and where a certain ms office were opened, in the process of shuttingdown where all running application were being terminated including the timer software, but when the system attempt to kill the ms office and detect that there's unsaved docs the system ask the user if he/she wants to save that particular work, if the user choose to press "Cancel" button the problem occurs its trigger the attempt shutdown to be cancelled as well, but the problem is all killed processes will not be resume.

to check you software based timer immune to this problem:

open your computer, when all set and the timer start, open msword (tested in office 2007) in new documents type anything but don't save the file instead try to shutdown the computer (by pressing the power button or the start bar the shutdown) expect that the system will prompt you that if you want to save the documents, press "Cancel", observe if the shutdown were cancelled and check your timer if its killed, try this for several times to make sure, its not garanteed instant checking but its by chance, were investigating this issue and post some possible counter measure to control this problem.

we have check 5 software based timer and 3 of them fails. we will post here all software based timer who will pass in this technical problem.

hindi lang po sa timer ng pisonet ito, we've tested HandyCafe same senario, the handycafe killed but the computer remain running... beware, check your timer and make some manual logs to make sure na hindi kayo natatakasan ng user.

hello po sa lahat, bago lang po ako dito. puede po ba ang enterprise dito?. kasi po like ko lang na i-introduce yung pong developed kong pesonet system. software base pisonet timer. nasa final testing na po ito. check ko lang po kung may mga interesado. thanks!
